The first task is to change the wall color. It's an electric blue and I would prefer to have a color that is a little more calming. I'm thinking of a very soft gray.

A Clean Slate
Just before moving all the UHaul boxes into my new space, I took a few pictures of the room so I would have a before and after picture view. Here is what it looked like. Other than a teacher's desk, student desks, and the bookcases bolted to the wall that didn't match, there really isn't much furniture to speak of. I see a trip to IKEA in my future.
